Black-Bear_Shooting.jpgProtect Wild Animals From Police Shootings!

Animal Justice and hockey commentator Don Cherry recognize that police need better equipment and training to humanely handle wildlife situations.

The Toronto Police recently shot a bear wandering in Toronto, as they had no tranquilizing guns and darts. This sad incident occurred after provincial wildlife officials—who do have darts—refused to come to the scene.

Killing innocent animals for the sake of convenience is never acceptable, and our police forces must be equipped to humanely remove wild animals from urban areas.

Don Cherry has already committed $1,000 toward the tranquilizing equipment they need, but the total cost will be several thousand dollars. Please give generously to help us buy tranquilizing gear for the police!
